Winter Wonderland

This has been the craziest winter we have had in several years. Although we are getting tired of shoveling snow and driving on icy roads, it is good to see this much snow. These pictures were taken over Christmas. Now we have a couple more feet of snow. During January the temperature was too cold to go out and play in the snow. Many times it was below zero and highs were in the teens. But with all the wind we have in Idaho it still feels below zero. It has warmed up - we are now getting high temps of around 30 degrees. We had a great time playing in the snow over Christmas. Dad bought all the grandkids sleds. For most of them, they are young enough that this was their first time. Adam wasn't too sure about the down hill sledding, but loved to be pulled behind grandpa's little tractor on flat ground. I am excited to see what the lakes and reservoirs are going to be like around here this summer. I am looking forward to some great boating and water time this summer with all the snow pack.

Looks like so much fun. Isn't the snow around here crazy? We picked the Best winter to live in Logan. Adam basks in it every day. We both feel the impending heat of Las Vegas--and we don't like it.
