It's been awhile

It's been a long while since I have posted. I have a lot to catch up on, so excuse the extremely large post. I will try to keep it simple and mostly in pictures.

I found this pattern for a fort that fits on a table on the makeitandloveit blog a while back (see button on side). My door opens like a doggy door instead of to the side. I still have some detailing to do, but I am overall happy with how it turned out. I forgot to take pictures of the actual fort and just took pictures of the kids playig. Adam has had a great time playing in it, as well as his cousins. You can't tell, but there are four kids in there at one time.
I found Adam coloring some pictures he had previously done at his Fun School. What I thought was so cute was the crayon behind his ear. :)
When Mom's away......Adam will play! Not that I'm ever that far away. Adam "cooked" using some of my spices. FYI: Turmeric turns stains everything orange. I even had to use Clorox on the kitchen floor so it didn't have an orange hue to it.

Adam and mom's lipstick.

Silly Adam! Adam has on Leslie's pants and also likes to put on her headbands and then tells us, "I like a girl".

A Trip to Las Vegas
We had the privilege of venturing down to Las Vegas to see some good friends sealed to their children in the Las Vegas Temple. It was an amazing day and we were so lucky to be there. Thanks Rachel and Adam for letting us be part of such a special time.
Rachel, Adam and their sweet family.
It seems as we spent as much time in the airport as anywhere else. When leaving Idaho Falls, our plane was delayed 5 hours! Yes - try that with a two year old. We arrived at 5:30 expecting to leave at 7:00. We did not board until after 12:00. Way past a two year olds bedtime and our idea of fun. By the time we got into Vegas, got our rental car, and got where we were going, it was 4:00 in the morning. Leslie fared well as she can sleep everywhere we go, Adam only for less than an hour on the flight. Needless to say - he was a little cranky when we arrived.
Josh and Adam leaving to make yet another loop around the every so big Idaho Falls airport while waiting for our flight. There are only so many times you can ride escalators or elevators and visit all three gates in the airport. This is the way Leslie preferred to spend her time in the airport - very wise. I wish we all could have.
Adam's first flight. He loved having his own tray and looking out the window. He was most excited to see the temple when we took off. But, it didn't take long before he was asleep on Dad's and Leslie on Mom's.
WHile we were there we got to visit with another friend and her family at the Las Vegas Children's Museum. They had a Clifford exhibit - Adam loves his "Big, Red Dog".
Playing at the museum
The only picture we got while on our quick hour and a half trip to the strip.
Rachel, Marisa and I. We met while teaching in Taiwan together 8 years ago! I can't believe it has been that long. What great memories!!
Yellowstone
We spent Conference weekend in Yellowstone with hopes of watching conference, relaxing, playing and having a little pre-Easter celebration. Well, conference wasn't broadcast up there, so we attempted to listen to it on the radio with lots of little ones running around. Leslie ran a fever the night we got there, so Josh and I drove the hour and half back to Rexburg to take her to the doctor and spent most of the day there. Thanks to the Aunties and Uncle Mike for keeping Adam while we were gone - he had a much funner time there. We did manage to get in some swimming and Easter celebration.
The water was freezing, but the kids loved it anyway. We just don't get in enough swimming here in Idaho.
Leslie hangin' out in the pool.
The kids and their Easter Egg Hunt Loot, Dyeing eggs, and eating the cookies they decorated.
Can you say cheese?
This is how we found Adam sleeping in the bed. His arm was stuck between the mattress and headboard.
Leslie hanging out - poor girl was not feeling well. I'm not sure what the foot poking out of the jammies is all about.

Fun times had by all! Although, I do think we need to redeem ourselves from the West Yellowstone trip and go up (only adults, maybe?) and have a nice RELAXING weekend!
